We’re pleased to share that Talking Medicines has been included in the Top 1,000 UK AI Companies in the UK AI Index 2026, published by the Startup Coalition.
The Index captures the scale and momentum of the UK’s AI ecosystem. According to the report, British AI startups and scale ups have raised more than £45 billion and employ over 35,000 people. Many are translating cutting-edge academic research into practical applications across industries, including finance, climate, health, and life sciences.
Being recognized in this context matters to us.
At Talking Medicines, our focus is not AI for AI’s sake. Instead, we apply Advanced Data Science and AI to understand how medicines, diseases, and evidence are discussed by Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Patients in the real world. We also examine how those conversations shape clinical and commercial outcomes.
As healthcare becomes more complex and fragmented, it is increasingly influenced by a growing volume of unregulated information. Because of this, the need for transparent, evidence-led Advanced Data Science and AI has never been greater. Our work sits at the intersection of medical communication, behavioral insight, and measurable impact. Through this approach, we help life sciences teams align strategy with the reality of clinical practice.
We’d like to thank the Startup Coalition and the authors of the UK AI Index for their work in mapping and supporting this ecosystem. Their efforts also highlight the importance of responsible AI adoption across sectors.
The UK has a unique opportunity to lead globally in health-focused AI. We’re proud to be part of that journey.
